CBS today announced the 20 castaways who will compete in SURVIVOR:
MICRONESIA — FANS VS. FAVORITES, when the 16th installment of the Emmy Award-winning series premieres
Thursday, Feb. 7 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
In a SURVIVOR first, 10 ultra-fans of the series will take on 10 former castaways to compete as FANS vs. FAVORITES. The two tribes will be marooned amid the
Rock Islands of
Palau,
Micronesia. The skills of the former castaways will be put to the test while the tribe of first-time competitors will see if their enthusiasm and passion for the game is enough to distinguish them as worthy competitors. The FAVORITES have an advantage because they've played the game before, but that could also be their biggest disadvantage…the tribe of FANS know how the FAVORITES have played the game. Although the game play of the FANS is unknown and could prove to be their advantage, the FANS' lack of experience could be their worst enemy and potential downfall. Who will prevail?

Ami. You asked who is she. She's the way cool, super athletic lesbian from the Vanuatu season who was a little too good, too smart, too leader-y and too fit for her own survival. Hope she will do better this time.
Eliza was the poor little girl from the same season who was always the next to go and somehow survived. She was something of a pixie that was always being picked on. And I think she got hit by the car curse.
Jonathan. Ugh twice. Nuff said.
Amanda AND James? Sheesh. I like 'em alright, but I just don't get seeing them again right away like this. Like as much as I liked Rupert the first time out, I wasn't that into seeing him the second time. (Plus, can CBS afford all the pixels it will take to blur her backside for another season?)
Ozzy. Hmm. Should be interesting. (I loved him by the end of that season, but didn't really at the beginning. Plus, for some reason that I don't understand, the Playboy channel thing he did made me find him, well, a little icky.)
YauMan. Now THAT's gonna be some interesting!
Cirie. Like Rupert, what can she do for an encore?
Parvati. Hot. Sweet. But, for me, kinda forgettable. Sort of like Amber (Australia, All-Stars). Does that mean she's gonna win and end up married to another contestant and live on TV from now on?
My money's on Chet.

Near the end of his season it was publicized that prior to doing Survivor (just prior it would appear) he appeared on this Playboy Channel "reality show" in which he and another dude were put into a house with two girls and, basically, everyone fornicated and talked about it.
He spent a good amount of time being naked and discussing his techniques with the lady(ladies). The other fellow appeared to suffer from performance anxiety about which he expounded at length.
It all left me feeling very sad and unclean.

I'm sure a lot of people, if not most found him unappealing, but I found him way sexy.

yeah... i noticed that too.. went over to the cbs site to check em all out briefly.
You'll probably remember Eliza and Ami once the season starts. They were both the season of several lesbians. Eliza, I don't think, is gay. Ami is. She was quite the "B". They didn't care for Eliza. Scout was on that season and the other lady that was also gay. She was a truck driver. Ami kinda ruled the show for a while. It was guys against girls and then the one guy left came over and WON the whole thing!!!!!!!
I don't get most of the 'favorites' at all! And I don't remember the rest...
I don't understand all the hype over James from last season. I watched him more closely than I would have because of the blog - which I visited, but didn't blog in - and I just don't get it. What does everybody see in him???
Why in the world is Jonathon a fan favorite? And Parvati? Was I watching a different show from everybody else all along?
Now, when you get to YauMan and Ozzy, I'm with you. They are fan favorites in MY book! YauMan is my ALL TIME favorite. Maybe because I am in his age group and it was a thrill to see someone in their fifties do so well against all those hot-shot 20 something babies! I like Cirie, too. But the rest, I could take or leave - mostly leave. Time will tell. The season is around the corner now. Even closer than BB9!
