Episode 8
ok.. I just got the news about a potential early BB9 and I'm still reeling, but here's an open post for episode 9...

Reward Challenge - Say it with me now: SINK COURTNEY!!!!! lmao. Sure she's light.. light and useless.
Truth be told, I'm finding it difficult to get into this episode... all i can think about is BB starting early... and all the prep work I need to get started on for the dish.
The reward... I'm not loving how they're playing Jean-Robert for a fool in terms of the hidden immunity idol. It's the most telling moment thus far of the season. He's definitely on the outs, and watching him come back to camp, not sleep and go right for where the idol's should be is giving me a bad feeling for him this episode.... as if we're due for another Jaime moment during tribal - with J-R thinking he has an idol and getting snuffed out anyway.
Immunity Challenge - Ich Ich Feh. Three words I thought I'd never hear: "Courtney wins immunity."
New standout player - Amanda. I'm not sure if it's the first time she's gotten a terrific edit, or just the first time I'm taking notice of her, but I'm really liking Amanda now. She's even-tempered, very intelligent, and she gets this game. I can definitely see her making top 4 - possibly more.

Mm.. Mm.. Mmm.. I seem to be channeling Jameka (from bb8), but that's all I can say right now. I'm not pleased. Dumb move, former feh long folks. I wont spoil it for the west coasters, but stay outta the comments section cuz it's fair game there.

Howdy, it's been a while. Both you and I are a year older since the last posting Carolyn. Happy Belated!
As for Survivor. Not really that into it. I still like James and fear he'll be gone soon. Miss the interactive part... and get that fix from Dancing with the Stars. (Love Mel and Maks).
As you mentioned... early BB. I read in Variety the other day that CBS is thinking of having a Winter/Spring edition... maybe with celebrities since many may be out of work. Time will tell. All I know is that this town is shutting down. There may be another strike in January for SAG and then some months later it's the DGA's turn. Oy.
If they do an early version of BB... then they better make some more fun for them in the backyard. SoCal simply isn't tanning/pool weather that time of the year.

And another thing, um, "STEWARDESS?" Excuuuse me?
Oh, and, on this and BB: Endurance and balance challenges are always going to favor a woman winning. It just works that way. The women are (generally) smaller and lighter and have a lower center of gravity. (Of course, bigger women have the same disadvantage men do.)
It makes you think that if you're a player, why not simply target fit and/or skinny women first, since they will be the toughest competition come those endurance challenges. (See BB entries: Erika, Danielle, et al).
Beyond marvelous.. James has the best looking tush in reality tv history - bar none.
re: stewardess - lol - i thought of you and what you'd be thinking and saying when he said it. ;) hehe.
as for the skinny chick factor - yup. always.. but since i've already made my distaste for the C factor quite obvious, I didn't want to add that into the mix, as i thought it would come across as sour grapes.
Are 'has beens' and people like on Surreal Life, not really actors, also part of SAG? I don't know.

Now to BB future... wonder then if they would do 'regular' folks first. Thing is... who has the time during busy season to be glued to 24/7 feeds. Geee. I may need some Dish more than ever. It's a good thing I subscribe annually.
Do you know that Dani and Dick are in Ireland together at the moment? They have been in Europe for a week and she loves it. She misses Nick a lot though. Dick also bought Dani a new car. Nothing for Vincent yet. I had hoped he would get treated to someting too. That kid works a lot. And DMV is not fun.

I was very nervous about James being thrown off the Island... I didn't like Todds facial expressions at all while Jeff was revealing the names... I also felt sorry for the lunch lady not being able to play during the reward challenge. I hope James brings the idols at each Tribal councel now that his name came up this week. I hope he makes it through to the end.
"C" still is my least favorite.
As far as BB9, I am very excited that it will start early then expected... I am having huge withdrawals as is... Carolyn, did you hear that CBS might fill BB9 with even more weekly episodes if they need to fill a time slot... So, instead of three shows a week, it might be four, five, six or seven days... Will you be able to deal with the extra days???? I hope so... Because we are counting on you AGAIN, to get us through another season of BB.

SO there is an open call for BB9 guests in NYC next weekend (11/18)... so I would assume CBS is looking at all options - both celebrity and non-celebrity guests.
