Episode 5

5 minutes till episode 5 begins.. or should I say Thursday night on the couch, or the bed, as the case may be.. Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, Big Shots... Just opening up the post for comments before the episode starts. :)

For those of you who've noticed my absence for the past week, I've been down for the count with spine issues... Hopefully, that's done with. Fingers crossed. :)

On with the show...

OK!! Tribal Shakeup. At first glance, Zhan Hu definitely got the lion's share on this one! James and Aaron. Score for them. I'm guessing the 4 switchers will have immunity this week... seems the survivory thing to do.

And so far, I'm wrong.

While PG was coming up with her scheme for Zhan Hu domination through intentionally losing immunity challenges, I had to give her credit. If it effects James badly, I'm done with her. :( He doesn't deserve to go out that way. 3/4 of the way through the show now, I'm still holding out a little hope for a quarterback sneak by Probst once they get to tribal council.. along the lines of, "oh, by the way, your newest members are immune this week."

And that's total wishful thinking on my part. There is no immunity.

On the bright side, Probst called them out at tribal for throwing the comp.

I can respect the mental game, but I can't respect taking out the warriors that way.

Last thought: Holy crap. They got me. They really got me.

Hey Carolyn! Yes it's way quieter over here. I can not believe tonight's episode! A part of me is upset that they plotted on my fav player James but then a part of me says that it's a game and maybe they were trying to do what was best for them. Nonetheless, the way they laughed about it, etc was the worse.

That was just sooo wrong! I get the clever, albeit risky strategy...but, but, but some little dark part of me hopes it comes back and bites Pei Gei & Jaimie in their respective "sit-downs"!!

I'm really glad James spoke up too! I didn't expect that from him... pleasantly surprized! (Wish we had 24/7 feeds to watch this next week evolve.)

Carolyn - sorry to hear about your spine-week. I can sooo relate.

I can't believe it anymore than my pick for the win, James.

Astonished they threw such an important comp. I think the lake water is tainted and it's gone to their heads.

I feel James' pain, to be betrayed, especially by new "friends".

WOW what a season!!!

my hope is that for next week, there is a reward challenge, feh long is able to win it and chooses to "kidnap" james, and he is able to get word to them of pg & jaime's plot to tank the next immunity challenge in order to dwindle fei long's numbers yet again before the expected merge... that way fei long can return the favor and get rid of one of the zhan hu's, preferably sherea - who does squat all.

GRRRRRRRRRR!!!! I know it's a game and I know PG's plot was strategic but how dare they do that? I can't believe they did that? And then to laugh about it in front of others......like AT&T I wanted to reach out and touch them both, and not in a gentle way! My only thought after I got over the shock of Tribal Council was thank God it wasn't James. I think even Eric questioned Jaime's and PG's decision but he was between a rock and a hard place. The only reason they probably kept James instead of Aaron is because they needed his strength and they had the numbers. He sure didn't look to me like he cared whether he stayed or not after that mess. I loved his reaction. I think if I were him and the next competition was important to them, that I'd just stand there with a blank look on my face as if to say 'homey don't play that game'-LOL!!

I was thrilled at the start of the show to see my two favorites actually made up a dream duo.........James & Denise! She sure got vocal about JR didn't she?-LOL!!! They were all cracking me up the way they were ranking on JR.

They got clothes!!!!!! That was the most thrilling part of the entire show. I noticed Sherea's bright bikini first and then I noticed how decked out everyone else was. Thank goodness! All that nakedness and those many blur spots were getting quite distracting.

Carolyn, glad to hear you're better. Been there, done that, you have my empathy!

Cliff, thanks for the update on Pirate Masters last week. What happened was horrid and sad. I'm so glad I didn't start watching that one.

Stick thin Courtney is making the faux news alot because of her lack of weight. I feel for her.

Pei Gei and Jaimie are taking the lazy way out. What about when Yul and company were down to just 4 for their alliance, and they hoisted up their britches and managed to win week after week. They were down in the numbers. But they used strength and smarts to come back. yeesh. I can't stand that they are losing in trying to win!

Again, not to hate on James but PG & Jamie should have removed him last night. The man is a dominate force and will win all individual challanges if he makes it to the merge.

I love the fact that PG was smart enough to play the game 2 steps ahead, however I have a feeling her numbers of 5 & 5, may not work to her advantage in the long run if Sherea feels she has a better bond with her new tribe.

Yeah Dan, I liked the way Sherea clued into having to step her game up when she wound up on the other tribe....she deserves to go.

I guess I shouldn't be upset with PG and Jaime for 'playing the game' but at the producers for pulling a dumb stunt like this. What's the point of a 'Survivor' bustin' his/her hump to win if the producers are just going to willy/nilly change things around and put worthy people in jeopardy.....ack!!!! It reminds me of that stupid yellow (or purple) rock in one of the earlier seasons.

I want people to win on worthiness and because they've 'outdone' everyone else; not because the producers threw a curve ball that some had no chance of recovering from. It's NOT interesting to watch, nor is it enjoyable, when the producers play instead of the contestants.

Gosh, I guess I'm done with my rant. Can ya tell I was just a bit ticked about last night's show-LOL!!

This is Survivor and the slogan is out wit, out play and out last. So that move by PG was to out wit and out last is last. It sucks but it is what it is. I did see a ray of hope though. Erik voted out Arron instead of James because he won't play that game and can tell Jamie she has to vote out PG with him and James otherwise it will be a tie vote and she, whichever one it is, will lose. Tie breakers are almost always physical in nature. Also what if the merge doesn't come at ten ppl like they think. The plan is up in smoke. Bad, bad move. PG must go soon.

So can't stand pg and jamie. That was so wrong what they did. I know part of the game but to act the way they did during the challenge was so bad and made me so mad. I want James to win the whole thing. Those girls make me sick and I can't wait for them to go..........GO JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the thing that made me go "huh?" in this episode was James making the comment about how the lunch lady was his kinda woman. If he was older or she was younger he'd give her a run for her money. (...Still scratching head over that one)

Blogger Deb in WA said...

LOL Evel Girl!! I'm surprised you're the first to comment on that one. James is a real and very rare guy to see it's whats inside that counts and not what the outside looks like. Me, I wish I could claim the same but if I'm buying a car the first thing I notice is how it looks, not at the engine.

I can't believe I just admitted that but something tells me I'm not alone.

As much as I wanted Aaron and James to stay, it was a smart move to vote them out. Not that I agree that throwing a comp is the way to do it... Funny that James wanted to be voted out and they kept him. I agree that immunity should have been given -- I remember them doing that in the past, right?

Anyway... I still like Frosti, Todd, and Amanda.
